A large shrub or small tree to 4m tall with deeply divided, five- to seven-lobed leaves. The leaves emerge green with creamy-white and pink-flushed margins and retain the creamy-white variegation in summer before the entire leaf turns orange or red in autumn

How to grow
Cultivation
Grow in a moist but well-drained soil. Water in summer if necessary. Leaf colour is best in partial shade, although full sun can be tolerated. Leaf scorch can be caused by lack of soil moisture or excessive exposure. See Japanese maple cultivation
