1 in 10 is a healing garden designed as a sensory distraction for someone suffering from endometriosis. Its task is to provide a comfortable space for the visitor to enjoy on their own while allowing them to connect with nature.
Vibrant planting surrounds a sunken entertainment terrace, which is filled with comfy seating for hosting friends and relatives, as well as for relaxing in the warmth of the sun. The woodland-inspired backdrop is attractive to a wide range of wildlife.
A hornbeam hedge and raised wall create a sense of enclosure, and a subtle water feature splashes gently. A minimal-impact fence separates the visitor from the countryside beyond as the garden user soaks in the healing view across the horizon, or up to the stars.
